- Scott Throckmorton was our guest speaker for our first Virtual Lunch & Learn held on 23 Feb. 2021. Scott discussed types of investigations, general methods of investigations, and methods of collecting and preserving evidence.
- Sgt. Thomas Walters, Memphis Cargo Theft Task Force, Memphis Police Department spoke to the combined Memphis ASIS and Mid-South Cargo Security Council on cargo theft.
- Jesse Rice presented our 4th Quarter 2019 Young Professionals Award to Brittany Parrett.
- Thank you to the Shelby county Sheriff’s Office for supporting the Memphis-ASIS chapter with a safe, fun-filled afternoon at their range conducting a steel challenge shoot. Shout out to John Myers and his crew for an outstanding range. We can all be proud of the Sheriff’s Department and the support they provide our community.
We ran three contests: Bullseye (15m paper targets), Poppers (3 pop-up and 5 steel plates) for time, and a head-to-head challenge on a 6 plate rack. Eric Daniels, Allied Universal, takes home the prize for all three marksmanship trials. This was a fund raising event to benefit our Security Young Professionals initiative.
